Scott Bellhouse, Owner/Founder, Profile Hospitality Group
Before Scott established Profile Hospitality Group he enjoyed a 20 year career in the hospitality industry.
Scott began his hospitality career at Hockley Valley Resort in Orangeville, Ontario. By 1994 he had moved to Vancouver and joined Earls Restaurants where he worked his way through the ranks starting as a server and eventually moving into a General Manager position.
After six years with Earls Scott returned to his home province of Ontario and began work for Oliver & Bonacini Restaurants as an Assistant Manager and later as the General Manager of Jump Café & Bar. During his tenure at O&B Scott played a pivotal role in the creation and development of the Oliver & Bonacini Café Grill concept, opening and serving as General Manager in the first two locations.
Looking for a new challenge, Scott joined the hospitality recruitment firm Lecours Wolfson in 2006 as a recruitment consultant working with some of Canada’s largest and most respected restaurant brands.
Scott re-joined Oliver & Bonacini in 2009 as the Director of Operations for the Café Grill concept where he assisted in expanding the concept to five locations.
In 2011, Scott returned to Vancouver with his family to start his own venture, Profile Hospitality Group.
Valerie Upfold, Recruitment Consultant
Valerie was the Human Resources Manager for Oliver & Bonacini Restaurants for fourteen years (1997-2012) where she was responsible for developing and facilitating all training and development, recruitment and retention strategy and all other human resource functions. She also oversaw and taught all wine education for the company. She has worked as a Manager and Sommelier for over 20 years in various capacities at well-regarded restaurants and hotels in both Canada and Australia, including five years at Canoe Restaurant.
Valerie has a degree in Information and Commercial Studies from the University of Western Ontario and holds her CHRP designation. She also has her Diploma of Wine from The Wine &Spirit Education Trust and the first level Sommelier designation from the Court of Master Sommeliers.
Valerie joined Profile Hospitality Group in May 2012 and is based in Toronto, Ontario.
Chris Hart, Recruitment Consultant
For the past decade Chris has held various restaurant management positions in Alberta and B.C. including Fairmont Hotels and Resorts at Jasper Park Lodge where he obtained his first management position, and the Chateau Whistler in British Columbia. In Calgary, he served as Wine Director and Manager with the Canadian Rocky Mountain Resorts Group, and General Manager at multiple locations of the Redwater Rustic Grille with The Vintage Group.
Wine has always been a passion for Chris. He holds his Levels 1 and 2 Certificates through the International Sommelier Guild as well as his Level 3 Advanced Certification through the Wine & Spirit Educational Trust. Chris holds a diploma from the Hotel & Resort Hospitality Management Program at Georgian College in Barrie, Ontario.
Chris joined Profile Hospitality Group in January 2013 and is based in Calgary, Alberta.
