Position: Director of Sales, Groups & Events

Location: Toronto, ON

Proud to be Canadian and recognized as having one of the country’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures, my client, a successful hospitality and entertainment company, is ready to appoint a Director of Sales to their team.

Here’s what you’ll get to do:

* Strategic Planning – Develop a long-term expansion plan to efficiently grow the sales business

* Sales Leadership – Build, manage and support large, remote teams

* Revenue Management – Develop annual sales targets and make recommendations for compensation and incentive programs to motivate your sales team

* Customer/Product Management – Work alongside the Marketing department to implement then measure the effectiveness of sales & marketing plans

* Reporting – Provide detailed, accurate sales data that will inform annual business plans and budgets

Here’s what you’ll need:

* 10+ years experience in the hospitality, entertainment, meetings or event sales industry, with at least 8 years in a sales leadership role managing teams

* To have a handle on financial reporting, budgeting, strategy development and sales forecasting

* Expert-level proficiency in MS Office applications

* Toronto as a home-base with the ability to travel throughout Canada 25% of the time
